By accessing step-browser.com and using the Step Browser software, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Step Browser is a Chromium-based web browser for macOS, currently in private beta. The service is provided "as is" and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. Beta access is granted at our sole discretion.

3. Beta Registration

By signing up for the waitlist, you provide your email address. This address is used exclusively to contact you regarding Step Browser (beta access, product updates). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email.

4. Intellectual Property

The name Step Browser, the Step logo, and all visual and textual elements of the site are the property of Bastien Hugon. Step Browser is built on Chromium, an open-source project by The Chromium Authors, distributed under the BSD license. Third-party trademarks mentioned (Chrome, Safari, Firefox) belong to their respective owners.

5. Personal Data

The processing of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Step Browser is local-first: your browsing data stays on your device. Only the email address provided during beta registration is collected and processed.

6. Limitation of Liability

Step Browser is provided in beta, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We shall not be held liable for any data loss, service interruption, or indirect damage resulting from the use of the software.

7. Changes

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes take effect upon publication on this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
